Hourly Home Care 24/7 Private Duty In Hospital and Nursing Homes
Karing with Kindness is dedicated to providing you and your loved ones with quality in-home assistance with daily living skills as well as private duty or staff relief in a professional environment. Our commitment to excellence assures you of professional, compassionate care by licensed, bonded and insured caregivers, thus relieving any stress associated with caring for a loved one.
Karing with Kindness owner Kathleen Kenny embarked on her journey into caring for others 18 years ago. It began with her home health care agency, through which she took care of family and neighbors. Through this, she embraced the compassion and kindness she wanted to promote in taking “kare” of the elderly, and Karing with Kindness was born.
Karing with Kindness Inc. is insured, bonded, and accredited. We do Private Duty Care not only in the home but also in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living homes, and nursing homes. Our Certified Home Health Aides are trained on site to provide the compassion and kindness that Kathleen holds so important. We have nurses on staff for our skilled nursing Kare. Their continuing education means they are prepared for the ever-changing medical world so they can give the best possible Kare to your loved one. We work with long term care insurance companies, motor vehicle insurance, workman’s comp, Medicaid, and state-funded programs such as Global Options, JACC, CAPP etc. We have a special program for our veterans where they may be eligible for free home Kare or nursing Kare.
Karing with Kindness also operates a private vocational school located in Ocean and Atlantic counties. The objective of the program is to prepare participants to become a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA), Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), or a Certified Medication Aide (CMA). The training will enable them to provide the highest quality of care in a compassionate manner, all the while maintaining the client’s dignity and independence. Our certified instructors are registered nurses and the New Jersey Board of Nursing approves all classes.
Over 18 years, Karing with Kindness has expanded into Durable Medical Equipment. Kathleen wanted to help her clients by giving them easier access to the things they need. Durable Medical Equipment offers wheelchairs, lightweight wheel rollators, walkers, diabetic products & supplies, bathroom safety products, hospital beds and mattresses, orthopedic braces and wraps, compression stockings, nebulizer/ humidifiers, Hoyer lifts, wound care supplies and a large array of incontinence products, all of which are available for monthly delivery. And these are just a few of the products we provide. We accept Medicare/ Medicaid, private insurance, workman’s comp insurance, and motor vehicle insurance.
Our Women’s Boutique, with locations in Toms River and Linwood, specializes in mastectomy wear, and we have Certified Mastectomy Fitters on staff. We have hundreds of bra and prosthesis styles and designs to choose from. But we don’t stop at just offering the products. The Karing with Kindness staff helps women when they find out they will be getting surgery, working with doctors to help prepare a woman for the post surgical wear they will need. We educate women on what to expect and assist to make this process easier. As the summer approaches, we have a beautiful swimsuit and prosthesis to assist women in living life to the fullest. We also carry a full line of headwear, including scarves and wigs for all ethnicities. Our goal is for every woman to feel incredible upon leaving our boutique. Karing with Kindness also works hand in hand with a non-profit organization, Power of Pink, to help us achieve our goal. Medicare allows 3 bras every 6 months and a new prosthesis every 2 years. Most private insurances also pay towards your bras and prosthesis.
Karing with Kindness is proud to announce to expecting mothers that our Mommy and Me program is set up in a private section of our boutique for pre- and post-baby preparations. Our staff is specially trained to help expecting and new moms with everyday activities in the home. The Mommy and Me section also includes a breast pump available for purchase or rent, which may be covered by private insurance. We also carry a beautiful line of nursing bars, tanks, shirts and pajamas, as well as many types of formula that are covered by some private insurance. We have an array items for post-baby wear for mommy!
But that’s not all. At Karing with Kindness we help a woman from A to “K Kups.” We cannot forget our active women, which is why we offer many styles, shapes, and colors of active wear!
Karing with Kindness Inc. is owned by Kathleen Kenny, but when you ask how she did it she states she couldn’t have done this without her family, especially her grandchildren, who keep her young: Paul III, 5; Sean, 3; Eddie, 2; Norah, 3 months; and the newest arrival coming in August 2013. Her husband, Paul, is Vice President. Her eldest son, Paul Jr., and youngest son, Raymond, are involved in maintenance and marketing. Her daughter, Jennifer, is an L.P.N. for the company.
“I’m writing to thank your organization for all that you did, especially your Home Health Aide, Vida, to help make me and my father’s end of life more comfortable. Everyone in your establishment was very professional and caring.”
